Anishinaabe Girl
For hundreds of years, Indigenous peoples have used elements from nature as a form of artistic expression and adornment. Designer Shauna Fontaine, a proud member of Sagkeeng First Nations continues this tradition harvesting and accessing natural elements to create unique one of a kind jewellery designs with a touch of boujee glam. From delicate furs and leathers, gemstones and metals, rustic birchbark, antlers and porcupine quills to distinctive Anishinaabe cultural art. Anishinaabe Girl’s creations have been well-known in Manitoba for more than 20 years.
